Privacy Policy
Freedom Eagles Lacrosse (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs freedomlax.com and the team apps on it: Game Tape, Film Study, and the coaches’ planning tools. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to players, parents and guardians, and coaching staff who use the site or receive messages from us.
Who uses this site
freedomlax.com is a private team site. There is no public sign-up. A coach adds each player and staff member to the roster by name and email, and only people on the roster can sign in. Many of our players are under 18. We collect the minimum information needed to run the team’s film program, and we ask that a parent or guardian be involved when a player opts in to text messages.
Information we collect
- Roster information entered by a coach: your name, email address, team (Varsity or JV), jersey number, and the name you appear under in game statistics.
- Mobile number and text-message consent, only if you choose to turn on text messages in your profile. We record the number, the date and time you agreed, and any later STOP or START request.
- Game film and statistics: video of our games and the plays, shots, turnovers and other events a coach has marked in that film, some of which name you.
- Lesson activity in Film Study: which lessons you opened, which pages you viewed, and the answers you give to a coach’s questions, including typed answers and voice recordings you choose to make.
- Technical information needed to keep you signed in and keep the site working: a session cookie, your IP address, browser type, and server logs.
How we use it
- To sign you in without a password, by emailing or texting you a one-time link.
- To show you our published games, your clips and the team’s statistics.
- To deliver lessons from your coaches and tell you when a lesson has been sent, is due, or has a reply.
- To let coaches see how the team is working through lessons and read the answers players submit.
- To keep the site secure and diagnose problems.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not build profiles for any purpose other than coaching this team.
Text messages (SMS)
If you turn on text messages, Freedom Eagles Lacrosse will text you one-time sign-in links and Film Study notifications (a coach sent you a lesson, a lesson is due, a reminder, a coach replied), up to 10 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or reply HELP for help. You can also turn text messages off in your profile at any time.
Who can see your information
- Coaches on the Freedom Eagles staff can see roster information, lesson activity and your answers, so they can coach you.
- Other players see only what a published game shows: the team’s statistics for that game. They do not see your email, mobile number, lesson answers or anything else about you.
- Service providers that run parts of the site for us: a cloud host for the site, a storage provider for video files, an email provider for sign-in links and notifications, and a text-messaging provider for SMS. They process information only to provide those services.
We do not give your information to anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Roster, film and lesson information is kept for the season and for coaching reference in later seasons. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and are single use. If you leave the program or a parent or guardian asks, we will deactivate your account and remove your mobile number and email on request.
Your choices
- Ask a coach to correct or remove your roster information.
- Turn text messages off in your profile, or reply STOP.
- Ask us to delete your lesson answers or voice recordings.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
